It's the college football offseason, and you know what that means:
For those of you who aren't aggressively online and don't get the joke, Offseason college football Twitter mostly centers around people posting the same seven videos:
- Cam Newton's run against LSU in 2010
- Reggie Bush against Fresno State in 2005
- USC's team entrance against Alabama before getting destroyed in 2016
- Some form of 2019 LSU/Joe Burrow highlights
- Lamar Jackson/Deshaun Watson clips from 2016 Clemson-Louisville
- Tavon Austin at West Virginia
- The Texas-USC National Championship
Now look, I'm not here to discredit any of those videos. Those players/games are some of the greatest in college football history, and will always stand the test of time. All I'm asking for is some different material! There's too many highlights out there to only focus on the same ones each offseason, and that's where I've got you covered today.
I've curated one classic highlight reel from every team in the country that you need to watch to help get you through the next eight months. In full transparency, over 50 of these are my own videos. I won't lie to you - The main goal of this post is pumping my own tires –Subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already!– but I feel like I make the best CFB content on the internet, and I'm not gonna pretend like I'm not here to promote my own work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Anyway, here are some things to note before you watch:
- This isn't showcasing every program's "best" highlight reel, so don't yell at me when you don't see Reggie Bush, Bo Jackson, Percy Harvin, or Ted Ginn.
- A decent chunk of these were created by people in the early days of YouTube. That means the video quality either sucks, or there's music underneath them. If you're under 25, use these videos as an opportunity to appreciate how good you have it now. 80% of the football highlight videos your elders watched either had "Here Comes the Boom" or "Click Click Boom" playing in the background.
- Some channels don't let their videos be embedded, so you'll have to click on the link to watch them.
Lastly, I'm making today's post public for everyone, but the majority of the content on this site is for subscribers only. College football fans like you are subscribing at a higher rate than I've ever had, and I've got a ton more great content like this coming your way this offseason.
One classic highlight reel from every team you need to watch this offseason
Cowboys legend Chad Hennings:
Jason Taylor. Yes, THEE Jason Taylor:
Current Houston Texans Head Coach Demeco Ryans:
The video can't be embedded, but of course - Armanti Edwards.
Terrell Suggs against Arizona in 2002:
Corey Rucker's 310 yards receiving against Louisiana-Monroe in 2020:
There aren't many individual Army player highlight reels out there, so here's the final minute of the 2017 game vs. Navy:
Freshman Robert Griffin III runs for 200+ yards on Washington State in 2008:
Jerry "Boo Boo" Gates:
Khalil Mack vs Ohio State in 2013:

Gartrell Johnson runs for 375 yards in the 2008 New Mexico Bowl:

Ashley Lelie's incredible three game stretch in 2001:
Ed Oliver's freshman highlights.
Mikel Leshoure runs for 330 yards on Northwestern in 2010:

Yes, of course Lamar Jackson exists, but so does Elvis Dumervil's six-sack game against Kentucky in 2005:
The guy I thought was gonna be the greatest corner of all-time - Morris Claiborne.
Obviously Randy Moss, but I'm nominating Vinny Curry:
I've got a full Miami playlist, so I'm switching it up from who it originally was (Andre Johnson) to Santana Moss:
Ben Roethlisberger's Hail Mary vs. Akron in 2001:
Brad Smith goes 200/200 on Nebraska in 2005:
Ndamukong Suh vs Texas in the 2009 Big 12 Title.

Donovan McNabb vs. Michigan in 1998:
PJ Walker's 2014 highlights.
Finding Texas State stuff is a tall task, so how about their upset of Baylor this past season:
Making a full Demarcus Ware Troy video is on my bucket list, but here's him against Utah State in 2004:
Zaven Collins in 2020:
Maurice Jones-Drew vs Cal in 2005.
The true meaning of dominance on a football field - Mike Williams:

Leon Allen runs for 345 yards on Army in 2014:
If I could find any Greg Jennings videos I'd share them here, but I'll continue to pump my own work with D'Wayne Eskridge:
Regretfully, Josh Allen
