The Bears hit the Jackpot whenever No. 1 had the football.

I don't like making assumptions, but I'll assume the majority of people reading this know that DeSean Jackson –whether from his time at Cal or the 15 seasons he played in the NFL– is among the most explosive players to ever play the game of football. Jackson was a legitimate potential touchdown threat any time the ball came his way, on any part of the field - no matter if he was running full speed or at a complete stop.
In his three years (2005-07) in Berkeley, Jackson scored 29 touchdowns. His average yardage on those scores? A preposterous 40.1. To be fair, six of those came on punt returns - which are almost always guaranteed to be 40+ yards if they're returned for scores. Even if you eliminate the returns, his 23 offensive TD still average a crisp 30 yards. My favorite Jackson stat is that 52 of his 226 career touches at Cal (23 percent) went for 20+ yards. There are exciting players people like to call "home run hitters," and then there are guys like Jackson, who should be mentioned in the same breath as Reggie Bush and Percy Harvin in terms of explosiveness.

I made Jackson's full Cal highlight reel last year, and I felt the same way afterwards then as I do now after making this touchdown video you're about to watch. You can pick a handful of receivers from his era who you think were better than him because of their all-around game and I won't argue with you. None of those guys inflicted more fear into corners across from them, or safeties with the responsibility of protecting everything behind them than DeSean Jackson did. Enjoy the video:
