Any time Noel Devine touched the football at West Virginia, you had to be aware of the possibility that he might score. In four years in Morgantown, Devine ripped off 4,315 rushing yards on 728 carries - good for nearly six yards per tote. 36 of those went for 25+ yards, while 12 of them resulted in runs of 50+. Devine's combination of pure speed mixed with lightning-fast reflexes made him one of the most explosive runners of his era. He was someone you went out of your way to watch whenever the Mountaineers were on national TV.

Almost all of Devine's 31 touchdowns included some form of ankle-breaking, out-running a defender who seemingly had an angle on him, criss-crossing the field, or just something that made you say, "Wow." I had a lot of fun making this video, because it reminded me just how special of a runner Devine was.
