Steve Slaton is one of my favorite players in college football history, and I've got receipts to prove it. I've featured him in all three editions of Running Back Respect Month here on the site, made a 25-minute highlight reel of his career at West Virginia, and even copped his 2005 jersey on eBay a few months ago:
Slaton help transform West Virginia into a program that rang off nationally. He and quarterback Pat White made college football fans like myself –who had no ties to the Mountaineers– eager to watch them every Thursday/Friday/Saturday just to see what their high-powered offense would do next. It was a treat watching them then, and it still is two decades later. Given that I've made almost every other video there is to about Slaton's career, I thought it'd be fitting to showcase all 55 of the touchdowns he scored in just three seasons as the next installment of my 'Every Touchdown' series.
